Kirsten Theurer

Kirsten Theurer is an award-winning artist living in California.  Her love of watercolor comes from many happy summers spent in the California Foothills with her grandmother, tagging along on plein air events and workshops. A graduate of UC Davis in Environmental Design, she worked briefly in the field before finding her love of education. She dappled and enjoyed painting while raising a family and pursuing a career in education first as a teacher, then staff developer, and finally an administrator in the public school system.   Stepping away from her full-time career, Kirsten is rediscovering her love of watercolor.

She paints both plein air and in her studio. She is a signature member of the California Watercolor Association. Her paintings are available for sale, priced upon request. Commissions are accepted.
